Problems
- The representatives of Britain, France, Italy and the USA made decisions without consulting the leaders of the smaller nations affected.
- This made people in Eastern Europe get angry.
- People found themselves separated from their families.
- The did not share language or culture.
- Right from the beginning there was tension and even violence.
- In 1920 Hungary lost two-thirds of its territory. The land was given to Yugoslavia, Romania and Czechoslovakia.
- The governments of these three countries formed an alliance to protect themselves from the threat of a Hungarian invasion. This became known as the Little Entente.
Treaty of St. Germain
This
treatry separated Austria from Hungary and confirmed that Austria was no longer
a leading power.

- Austria suffered severe economic problem as much of its industries had gone to Czechoslovakia.

The actual map of Yugoslavia.
Yugoslavia doesn´t exist anymore and it is divided into: Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
